As expected, AP Government introduced the Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA) in the Assembly. The bill empowers the authority to go for land pooling for the construction of the capital city. CBN played safe political game before introducing the CRDA bill in the Assembly. The final bill empowers the CRDA to nominate any person to the CRDA committee at any time. CRDA consists of Chairman, Vice-Chairman and four other experts having knowledge in urban planning, conservation, environment and transport as members. Chief Minister is the Chairman for CRDA, Minister for Municipal Administration will acts as Vice-Chairman of the CRDA. Now, CBN seeks to take the surrounding MLAs of Capital Region into CRDA. Four MLAs included Rama Krishna Reddy (Mangalagiri), Sravan Kumar (Tadikonda), Devineni Uma (Mylavaram) and Sowmya (Nandigama) will be appointed as committee members of CRDA. CBN has cleverly included YSRCP participation in CRDA. There is no news that YSRCP has accepted as CRDA committee member or not. At the same time, YSRCP didn’t raise any issues at the time of introduction of CRDA bill in the Assembly.
