This is a surely shocking news to the people of Telangana. Gudisela Venkataswamy(85), senior politician of Indian National Congress who played an important role in the politics of United Andhra Pradesh passed away today around 8.00 pm.   He suddenly fell very ill and his condition became critical and finally left his last breath today. This is a very big loss to the Telangana state losing a great leader like him. His actual name is Gaddam Venkataswamy but is popularly known as Kaka or Gudisela Venkataswamy. He was born on October 5th 1929.  Gudisela Venkataswamy was first elected as MLA during 1957-1962 and next 1978-1984. Later, he was elected as an MP in 1967. Venkataswamy represented the Peddapalli constituency in Karimnagar District and won with thumping majority many times. He was also a Cabinet Minister for two times in the Centre during the Congress rule. He was the founder of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Post Graduate Centre, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Degree College, Law College, Junior College and High School.He worked very much for the upliftment of studies and created awareness among people. Venkataswamy survived with two sons and three daughters. May his soul rest in peace!
