In what is being seen as a huge setback to the Telangana government in the case involving Gurukul Trust lands, the Hyderabad High Court has reportedly refused to review the orders which it had passed in September, 2012. The court has upheld that entire 576 acres of the trust land were actually occupied, sold or encroached due to which state should be providing the trust an equal proportion of alternative land close to the outskirts of Hyderabad. The Telangana government had reportedly sought a review of this order saying where it expressed how it is not practically possible for the ruling government to compensate the trust with the huge alternative land. However, yesterday, the bench comprising of Justice Vilas V Afzulpurkar and Justice B Siva Sankara Rao have reportedly dismissed the review petitions and didnt grant any relief to the petitioners.
