It is a known fact that the main opposition party of the nation is wriggling to find out a candidate to contest against the congress nominee Pranab Mukherjee, to fight out the presidential poll. In this context, we could not expect it to forego any of the armaments that come to its rescue, in this voting battle. That too if the ammunition is from no other than the Team Anna, which has aided it at least indirectly in fighting out the UPA and thus the congress Government at the center.
But of late it seems, the BJP is realizing that it is committing the act of suicide, by extending uncritical admiration to the Anna and his team. This is amply clear from the comment made by Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, vice president of the party that the Team Anna is acting like a super-constitutional authority, by asking for a probe into the allegations made by it on Pranab, before he could go ahead with his presidential candidature. He told that ‘...No one should attempt ...compel(ling) anybody before contesting election to take a NOC from them(Anna Team)’ Of late it looks like that the Anna team is stretching its agenda too far into the domains of power and trying to find a skeleton in every cup board. It might be the consequence of the elements nurturing their hunger for power, under its umbrella or else a case of the natural paranoia that prevails in the context of an all round rot in the political scenario. But, all said and done, it looks like that the BJP is awakening to its new found truth of –do not let the genie out of the bottle...it may devour you too...on one fine day...
