Financial problems always has caused more worries. A family of eight members who were hit by financial problems has jumped into a reservoir in a suicide bid in Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh, resulting in death of five and the rest three were injured severely.
As per reports, Ramaiah who was a trader has jumped into the Owk reservoir in the district last evening along with his seven family members which also includes grand children. Regarding this suicide, Deputy Superintendent of Police Vinod Kumar said, "Ramiah, his younger son and his wife survived in this incident.
But his elder son Venkatesh, Venkatesh's spouse and three children (2 boys and 1 girl) all aged below 5 years were drowned." He said further that the rescue operation happened for a long period and they have retrieved the body of all the five others.
During the initial stages of investigation it was said that Ramaiah was supposed to pay a sum of Rs.50 Lakhs to farmers from whom he bought bengal gram. As the prices dropped all of a suddem he was unable to pay them and he has taken such a decision.
