The recently renewed agitation
for separate Rayalaseema which is being planned by a cross section of Seema
leaders hailing from Congress and the YSR Congress party in order to embarrass
Telugu Desam Party chief and AP Chief Minister Naidu may be nothing but a
blessing for the latter, according to political observers.
It is
being said that Chandrababu Naidu is well aware how separate Rayalaseema demand
is not at all sustainable because it comprises of only four districts that lack
water resources and infrastructure facilities. Hence Rayalaseema as a separate
state cannot sustain.
Hence it
also becomes easy for the largely pro-TDP media to project this as only a
political demand by a few jobless leaders and hence there won’t be much
response from the people of the region even if they try their best to raise a
sentiment.
Again it would help Naidu in gaining a lot of political mileage in the Coastal Andhra region, for his focus on Amaravati despite Naidu coming from Rayalaseema. TDP will also do all it can for projecting YSR Congress party as a Kadapa-based party which shows Jaganmohan Reddy’s bias towards Andhra region!
