Gali Janardhana Reddy is an Indian politician who is with the BSR Congress party. He is one of the richest politicians in Karnataka. He also owns an iron ore mining license in Karnataka in 2004. He was recently arrested in an illegal mining case allegedly involving his company.
The funny thing is he got bail in once case, and within few minutes he was again arrested in another case. He was arrested on friday in Bengaluru in connection with an illegal iron ore case.
As per sources, The Special Investigation Team (SIT) of Karnataka Lokayukta arrested him in illegal mining case which involves in Black Gold Iron Ore Mines and Minerals company. Initially he was arrested with respect to illegal extraction and transportation of iron ore, cheating and misappropriation and abuse of power.
Inspector General of Police (Lokayukta SIT) KSR Charan Reddy said strict action will be taken against him and lots of cases were filed on him. Despite Supreme Court providing bail on January 20th he got arrested in the next case. This has caused ripples in Andhra political circle.
