Now that the elections for the bitter contested Warangal by polls are over focus is shifted to the upcoming GHMC elections early next year.Ruling TRS party already showed its intent by erecting banners and hoardings across the capital city of Hyderabad.
For long GHMC elections are pending and KCR led TRS party has taken it as a prestige. It was here in the last elections that TDP-BJP combine did well in the loksabha and assembly elections. Since most of the voters are from seemandhra region TRS faces tough task.
This was the reason why the party delayed the elections and more recently deletion of voters from GHMC electors list led to huge controversy. Opposition parties cried foul and TRS with the help of MIM party is leaving no stone unturned to win the prestigious GHMC polls and in a tactical manner is planning to ogranise the polls during Sankranthi when many seemandhra people leave for their native places in AP to celebrate the festival.
Many analysts are still wondering whether such ploy will work for TRS party. TRS party is promoting its pet schemes like 2 BHK houses in slums, constructing of Vinayaksagar lake for Ganesh idol immersions. But they are diverting from real issues like bad condition of roads, traffic jams, delay in metro rail project, over flowing drainage and garbage present everywhere, lack of proper water supply.
