Incessant rains in Chennai have affected day to day lives. People are suffering and relief measures are not happening properly. Ruling party ADMK Government has been so lethargic. The funds have already been provided from the central Government and still ADMK Government shows no improvement.
Ministers and others are just enjoying the floods as a show-stuff material. In this case, opposite party DMK president M.Karunanidhi came forward and provided a relief fund of Rs.1 Crore for flood relief operations. But still now the fund has not been accepted.
Regarding this, Karunanidhi has accused the state Government for intentionally evading the cheque. He said, "Officers and high officials are not accepting the cheque even after lots of request have been made. They have been given room to think if the higher ups had ordered them (officials) to not accept the cheque.
But still on behalf of our party we are providing all necessary help and we are helping the public." Karunanidhi also said he announced a sum of Rs.1 Crore on 17th November.
