The results of Warangal
by-elections has really depressed the BJP-TDP combine in Telangana. The
party’s candidate had come at a distant third and he had also lost his deposit in this
election. This election
results has again cast doubts on the TDP-BJP alliance’s in the new state of the country.
Although
it is not clear which party is more damaging the other, there are certain obstacles now for
both the parties and the leaders on both sides feel that the other party is indeed becoming a burden
for them.
BJP
feels that TDP is labeled as Andhra Party in Telangana and hence anymore friendship with
such a party is fully depriving them of the benefit in helping Telangana bill getting passed in the
Parliament.
At the same time, even TDP sees BJP as a big hindrance. The saffron party lacks any ground level cadre and TDP leaders feel that it is only being over ambitious and contesting those seats for which they do not even have a candidate!
