Chandra babu Naidu is the most troubled person right now. As he gave nod to 'Bauxite mining', lots of people who are living in the areas are against him. Naidu himself opposed that Bauxite Mining when he was not in the ruling party. So opposite parties are also lashing out at Chandra Babu Naidu for this behaviour.
Due to extreme pressure the bauxite mining was stopped on a temporary note. Now Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister has said a decision will be taken whether to continue the bauxite mining or not after consultation. It has to be noted that the area is completely tribal-dominated.
Naidu who met the reporters said, "A decision will be made soon regarding the Bauxite mining. Government would respect public opinion and honour their sentiments. Bauxite mining activities in the state have already been suspended. Corrupted leaders are provoking people and they are now demanding that the Government should stop mining activities.
I would like to recall that Y.S.Rajasekara Reddy government permitted Ras-Al-Khaimah to establish aluminum industry in Visakhapatnam , for which it was decided that the Andhra Pradesh Mineral Development Corporation would supply the bauxite by taking up mining. They were also given environmental clearances by the mining company themselves." Recently Congress party has also poked their nose and they came out in support for tribals.
