a comprehensive verdict in 2014, TRS easily managed to win the two by-elections
with really thumping majorities.
The survey reports from Narayankhed Assembly by-election are also reportedly favouring the ruling TRS despite this segment being a virtual stronghold of Congress party. KCR’s final frontier is GHMC elections which will happen by early 2016. This is definitely the toughest elections due to the presence of huge settlers.
Usually local elections as well as by-elections usually go in favour of the ruling party as people wish to vote for ruling party for their own development. There are many such incidents where the ruling parties have ignored development of certain areas where they did not get votes.
Hence it can be assumed that voters normally favour the ruling party in by-elections and local polls. But it has to be seen whether these factors can also help the ruling party in winning over the settlers as well as the educated voters.
