Rahul Gandhi meets students at Mount Carmel College Bengaluru. He formally addressed them. Below are some of the highlights from his speech
• Just like you all, I did research before I came here. I went to Wikipedia and found three brilliant women from this college.
• I am so impressed with alumni list. So I called Margaret Alva ji, Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw ji & Nirupama Rao ji
• When I spoke to Mazumdar Shaw ji, she said she wouldn't have be the head of BIOCON if this institution never gave her the self belief. That is the spirit on herself.
• I achieved something without the schooling. That gave me self belief.
• Today lots of avenues have been opened and She is an inspiration for you all to go ahead in your life.
• I realised that essentially what this institute does is that it gives you knowledge but it also preaches tolerance
• If you have to achieve, you need to show your ears around you. You need to learn and appreciate things.
• The institute not just gives you knowledge. But also gives you tolerance.
