Aamir Khan while speaking at Ramnath Goenka Excellence in Journalism Awards said that the intolerance has been growing in the nation and he and his wife Kiran Rao decided to leave the country. This was badly criticized by most of them. He faced lots of negative criticism.
It is a known fact that he is the brand ambassador for SnapDeal e-commerce app. Lots of people uninstalled the app to show their rage against Aamir. And another set of people rated the app '1 star' and commented so badly on them. SnapDeal even made a press statement that they can't be responsible for Aamir Khan's personal opinion.
Now, the opponent 'Flipkart' has came to Snapdeal's rescue. Sachin Bansal who is the founder of Flipkart has extended his support to Snapdeal. It is a known fact that both Flipkart and Snapdeal are rivals in domestic e-commerce industry.
The founder tweeted, "This is a flawed logic. Brands don't buy into brand ambassadors personal opinions. @snapdeal shouldn't face this." It should be noted that earlier this year Flipkart also got more number of one star ratings for its support of Zero-rating plans.
