Former Telecom Minister Dhayanidhi Maaran is ordered to be present at the CBI Office from 11am to 5pm from 30th November to December 5th. The Supreme Court today asked former Telecom Minister Dhayanidhi Maaran to appear before CBI for six days. 


Today a bench headed by Judge T.S.Thakur has ordered Maaran to co-operate and answer the questions asked by CBI. Maaran should remain present from 11am to 5pm during the tenure of 6 days. The court also asked CBI to come with all evidences and questions which have to be asked during the probe. 


The bench told to CBI, "We will not grant you custodial interrogation at the moment." It has to be noted that DMK Leader Maaran already went to apex court after Madras High Court cancelled his anticipatory bail and directed him to CBI.


Earlier CBI registered an FIR case against Maaran that over 300 high speed Telephone lines were provided at his residence and it was also extended to his brother Kalanathi maaran's Sun TV channel. This was used to uplink when Dhayanidhi was the Telecom minister from 2004-2007.
