Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N.Chandra Babu Naidu is aiming to complete 8 small or medium irrigation projects at an estimation of Rs.15000 Crores over next two years. Irrigation minister Deveneni Uma and Rajya Sabha member C.M.Ramesh are already providing contracts of irrigation projects for higher quotation.

Parakala Prabhakara who is the Advisor in communications department said, "The state government is now resolved to complete all the pending projects including Handri-Neeva, Galeru-Nagari, Tadipudi - all these small or medium ones, which would come to about 15000 Crores.

Within next one year if we focus on all the projects and if we have 15000 Crores we can complete all the projects right on time. We are not speaking about the big projects here. The challenge before the Andhra Pradesh government is how to mobilize the sum of 15000 Crore.

We are planning to get about 8000 Crores through sales of rare wood red sanders. Right now the Government wants to to do it by themselves. They are not approaching any external agencies for funding."
