As he endorses the e-commerce app snapdeal. Most of them have deleted the app to show their protest while the rest have rated the app with one star. However Snapdeal made a statement that the firm is "no way connected" with them. But still hashtag #AppWapsi trended.
Now it seems all this outrage has just helped Snapdeal to get more publicity. The app has a huge rise in popularity and it has ranked upwards from 23rd of November. That is the day when Aamir made his statement on intolerance.
Right now, Snapdeal's India rank in the Google Play Store was 28. So thanks to free publicity the e-commerce site has the biggest leap in rankings. The national media also made the issue huge by posting various articles related to it.
