The farmers in the proposed capital region of AP are facing a new
challenge this time in the form of a road which is expected to pass
through villages where Pawan Kalyan held his meeting and ensured that
the TDP government doesn’t acquire lands forcibly under the land
acquisition act!
Andhra Pradesh government is
reportedly planning a 16.5 Kilometer long four lane road from the
proposed Assembly building located in Amaravati towards national
highways and other cities. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has
instructed the officials clearly that it has to be a straight road with
no deviations.
However sources say that this
200 feet road is reportedly making people of villages like Undavalli and
Penumaka spend sleepless nights. A straight road implies that most
lands and houses en route will be totally lost. They fear imposing land
acquisition act for this road.
Rumours are now
rife in these villages this road would be totally raze the villages. It
may take two more months for any clarity about this road’s exact
location and other details. But Naidu seems to be determined as usual!
