Chennai is facing a real bad time right now. The persistent down pour has troubled the normal life activities. Schools and colleges are closed for the 16th day. Now we hear that a major road in Chennai has faced a huge hole as rains continue. A huge crater appeared on the road near the Madhya Kailash signal.
This is close to IIT Madras. Concerned Authorities are facing it tough to redirect the traffic. Most areas are facing water-logging problem once again as the rains are back again. The City has received rainfall upto 6.5 Cms till 11am this morning.
The forecast is bad and more showers are expected for another four days. The forecast department has already asked the people to stay indoors till the weather is clear. Apart from Chennai, heavy rains can be expected in Northern coastal regions too. Floodings have happened in most parts.
A few minutes back Chennai corporation has announced that the water from Chemparampaakam lake is being released and right 5000 Cubic feets of water are being released. So floods are expected in that region. People are requested to spread the message and stay safe.
