Finally the stage is set and rituals for Yaagam began at Telangana Chief Minister K.Chandrasekar Rao's farm house. The chief minister along with his wife Shobha Rao performed the rituals including guru prarthana, Ganapathi puja and ankurarpana. As per reports the rituals started at an auspicious time and priests were gathered in huge number.

Initially the chief minister performed all formalities including 'gau' pooja (Worship of cow) and yagasala pravesam (ritualistic entry into yagam venue). Yesterday evening, the priests performed Vaastu homam and this was done to ensure the place is built exactly as per the vaastu.

KCR's farm house is about 60 acres and it is located at Erravalli village in Medak district. Even though we don't know the exact number of priests, reports say that there have to be more than 2000 priests.

One of the priest named Gopi Krishna said, "The main Ayutha Chandi Yaagam will being only on Wednesday. Now what we do is just a series of preliminary rituals, and what the chief minister performed on Monday was the first phase of it."
