Chennai is right now limping back to normalcy after a long time. The floods and rains have stopped and people have turned back to normal lives. People are making their own good causes too.


In this case, some Volunteers of Indian Community Welfare Organization, an NGO has joined with members of 'The Candles' which is another organization and they painted the walls of a Chennai Corporation-run crematorium at Velankadu near Anna Nagar.


The walls of the crematorium are painted with social messages as part of Clean Chennai campaign. Some of the interesting drawings where, 'Global Warming', 'No Smoking', 'No rash driving', 'Carbon emission', 'Alcohol consumption'. The messages were seen throughout the crematorium.


A.J.Hariharan who is the secretary of ICWO said that the NGO creates more jobs for women at the crematorium. This is the first in the country. We are also managing the crematorium. Apart from this they also clean and maintain it. The NGO's said they are not just getting more funds with respect to these.
