The Krishna Delta is one of the most crucial regions in Andhra Pradesh in terms of agricultural output so the farmers in those regions need to have strong water supply and support of government. But it looks like the congress government is not really doing much about it.
The allegation is that the farmers are not getting their due share of water from the Krishna river water. Already, they could not gain much during the Rabi crop due to congress initiatives like delta modernization and declaring crop holiday. And even the water supply to the farmers is not really happening.
It is heard that that the farmers in the Krishna delta region are due to get 50 TMCs but they are getting only 30 TMCs. Though the officials are reportedly mentioning that they have given 80 TMCs it is heard that about 50 TMCs were actually flood water which came from Munneru and Paleru rivulets. Wonder what the congress has to say to this.
