There has been a never seen hype and hungama regarding the upcoming GHMC elections in Hyderabad city. Earlier, the fight was between Congress, MIM, TDP and BJP while TRS literally quit the polls in the year 2009. The scene is completely reverse now.
At the same time there may be some other implications too. Some of the analysts feel that in case TRS succeeds, then it would be more or less business as usual in Hyderabad city. Others say that if TRS fails miserably, then the game may change slightly.
If TDP-BJP combine wins, then there is an expectation that things may become sour between TRS and Settlers and there may be some form of violence due to the growing differences between these two camps. Some settlers may be even targeted.
This may give rise to an argument for Section 8 once again including the status of Union Territory for Hyderabad for protection of settlers. Therefore, the results for the GHMC elections may be having good deal of surprises in store going forward!
