YSR Congress SC Cell has lashed out at TDP Government as the Government is keeping muted response with respect to death of Dalit Scholar Rohit Vemula at University of Hyderabad. YSR Cogress SC Cell president Merugu Nagarjuna who met press people said,
"Chief Minister N.Chandrababu Naidu and his cabinet colleagues never reacted to the incident which happened in University of Hyderabad. The only reason is they are anti-dalit.
The Vice Chancellor, who was responsible for the suspension of the dalit students is acting as per Union Ministers order. Mr.Appa Rao was appointed by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Venkaiah Naidu. That is why casteist politics took place. We condemn the caste based politics and demand justice to the dalit scholars who are suspended.
So far the ruling TDP government never took any effort to dilute the case. Inquiries are going at Gurazala but so far not even one minister has offered their condolence for demise of Rohith Vemula." Meanwhile, the body of Rohith Vemula has been cremated.
