One of the most prosperous regions in Andhra Pradesh is north Andhra and it has good strength of natural resources, minerals and irrigation soil. However, the locals are complaining bitterly that the negligence of the congress government has spoiled the entire area.
Recently, CM Kiran Kumar Reddy visited Vizag and spoke largely about ‘Indiramma Padhakam’. However, he was also claiming about having 24 X 7 water supply to the people which is not realistic. According to a report, the city of Vizag itself requires 180 mgd of water.
Otherwise, it would require at least 1.2 mgd per hour because the population is 18 lakhs along with the presence of the industries. Many are complaining that unless the Polavaram project happens this problem will not be solved but then the government is executing the project very slowly leading to losses.
