The main opposition party of Telangana state, the Congress is in shambles ahead of the upcoming crucial GHMC elections. The party has places candidates in 149 divisions even as sources say that most of them had disappeared during the campaign itself.
The party has been only focusing on some handful of divisions where it has some chances and is totally leaving the campaign in other remaining divisions. All the surveys including the one which was commissioned by Congress doesn’t give party more than 15 divisions which means a distant fifth place.
This elections are being seen as trial run for the 2019 elections and Congress party is totally in mess. The party is having some last hopes on its traditional voters and anti-incumbency factor of the government.
Looking at this sad state, even TRS Minister and TDP Rebel MLA Talasani Srinivas Yadav has thrown up a challenge. He thundered that in case Congress wins more than 15 seats in GHMC polls, he will resign to his ministerial post immediately!
