Former Union Minister Manish Tewari has been appointed as the party spokesperson once again. So far there has been 28 spokesperson. The news was confirmed by S.V.Ramani who is the Secretary of the AICC's Communication Department.

He said, "Congress President Sonia Gandhi has approved the appointment of Manish Tewari as Spokesperson of All India Congress Committee." But it should be noted that earlier this month, All India Congress Party (AICC) has thrashed Tewari on a troop movement.

Now same AICC has regretted for such statements and controversies. With respect to the 2012 controversy, Tewari said to media that these kinda controversies are 'unfortunate'. A former Information and Broadcasting Minister in UPA-II, Tewari was acting chairperson of the Media department of the party during the last Lok Sabha elections.

The Congress party also said, apart from these 28 spokespersons, there are 9 senior Spokespersons. Manish Tewari expressed his happiness on being the official spokes person for All India Congress Party. However Rahul Gandhi who is the vice president never said about this.
