Few months back we reported that some miners were trapped underground. This happened as a collapse in Chinese Gypsum mine and the rescue operation was done for two weeks.
But as there were speculations that there might be more men, the final operation to save the rest went more than 660 feet underground and this took two long hours. The operation was broadcasted live. And this resulted in a good thing. Four miners were saved in this operation.
The incident was compared to 2010 Mining accident in south American country of Chile. During that time, 33 miners were trapped underground for 69 long days.
After this rescue operation was done, Zeng Kunyuan said, "It is a miracle. I hope all of them can enjoy their dinner on eve of Spring Festival."
What he referred was, Chinese New Year where people return to home to have their traditional meal with their families. The footage of this rescue operation was shown to people and the rescue crews were praised on social media. The four rescued people were identified as, Zhao Zhicheng, aged 50, Li Qiusheng, 39, Guan Qingji, 58, and Hua Mingxi, 36.
