Shanghai Court has fined three local techies for spreading rumours about Yum Brands Inc's KFC fast food chain. They posted some photos of deformed chickens and they also made statement that the birds had six wings and eight legs.

On its Official micro-blogging page, the Xuhui District People's Court said Yingchenanzhi Success and Culture Communication, Taiyuan Zero Point Technology and Shanxi Weilukuang Technology had "damaged KFC's reputation" and "caused it economic losses" by permitting the allegations to be posted on their social messaging accounts.

They were asked to make an apology too. They were also fined a sum of 600,000$ together. This amount should pay as a damage for spoiling the reputation about the company.

Regarding this , China-based Yum spokeswoman Cindy Wei spoke to Reuters and said, "We have brought these youngsters to lime light for making false statements about the quality of our food and we are pleased with the final verdict." Recently KFC has been a victim of fake messages and news. And this issue got more heat as Food safety became a major concern in China.
