Well not just AP CM N Chandrababu Naidu, but very soon Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar too is expected to be facing the heat of reservations over reservations issue. KCR had promised 12 per cent reservations for both Muslims and Scheduled Tribes for jobs and education opportunities in Telangana.

This was the assurance he gave during 2014 Assembly elections which was also included in TRS party manifesto regarding implementing the 12 per cent quota after assuming power in Telangana just like how Chandrababu promised BC status for Kapus in AP before 2014 elections.

But it has been 20 months since KCR became CM but has failed to make progress on this issue. Sources say that both Minorities and STs are now upset with KCR for not fulfilling his poll promise. In this regard they are planning to hold massive agitations soon on the lines of Kapu satrap Mudragada Padmanabham demanding quota.

Senior Congress leader and the leader of opposition in Telangana’s Legislative Council Mohd Shabbir Ali is all set for an indefinite strike in Shadnagar, Mahabubnagar district soon, from where KCR first gave the promise of 12 per cent quota for Muslim community in April 2014.
