When it comes to certain outfits, many of our political parties always turn a blind eye. One such party which enjoys or rather commands a monopoly in Hyderabad is the MIM. It was challenged for the first time in 80s with the rise of Bharatiya Janata party.
Although TDP too had an alliance with them, it somehow didn’t give them excess freedom. Later Congress started encouraging MIM like anything. Again when Babu was CM, he supported the rise of MBT against MIM but at the same time he personally ensured MIM’s activities were limited.
If there is one person who gave unrestrained freedom to MIM, it was YSR. With real estate boom picking up, MIM had its way in Old city of Hyderabad, unchecked by police and unanswerable to law and courts. MIM expects everyone to do the same.
Now with TRS turning a blind eye, the havoc wreaked by MIM was fully on public display in Old City. Many who are upset with KCR and unable to say so openly are of the opinion that if there was one man who showed the door for MIM was Kiran Kumar Reddy, the last CM of United AP!
