One of Google's earliest senior vice president Amit Singhal steps down as per the company's desire to make the search engine more sophisticated.  Google parent Alphabet Inc said that Amit Singhal will no longer be the chief of its Internet Search business and he will retire.

His void will be filled by John Giannandrea who is the vice president of Engineering. He is the lead in the process  in which computers improve performance by analyzing users' actions.

Singhal earlier joined Google by the year 2000 just after two years when the company was founded by Larry Page and Sergey Brin. During his tenure Google developed Adwords, the technology that targets ads based on users' searches and one of its biggest moneymakers.

The decision to replace Mr.Singhal with Mr.Giannandrea was taken after lots of discussion. Sameet Sinha who is a senior equity analyst at B. Riley & Co said, "The fact with which the head of Artificial Intelligence to take over the role is very telling of where they are expecting to evolve and go forward."
