The Telangana agitation was by and large successful because the people of this region were united and placed agitation for their region before so called caste and other considerations. In a way Andhras are now proving why Telangana was formed rightfully!
Here in Andhra Pradesh, caste comes before everything else and hence they also failed to keep the state united inspite of AP people considering themselves to be superior to their Telangana counterparts.
Mudragada Padmanabham has been demanding that Kapus deserve to be included in the BC list and adds that it was a promise made by Chandrababu. He has warned of going ahead with the agitation.
Now it is the turn of caste groups like SC/ST’s in Andhra who are issuing various ultimatums. Unless the people and leaders of Andhra keep aside their casteist considerations and work together as a team, they would definitely be the target anywhere.
