GHMC Elections finally ended and as expected TRS won it by a huge margin. And now this came as a shocker to TDP and this might be the last nail in the coffin for Telugu Desam Party. This clearly shows that the party has lost its identity in Hyderabad with the latest GHMC elections.
TDP which even had alliance with BJP faced a humiliating defeat. In Kukatpally division, it won just 1 seat but BJP won 4 seats. Both TDP and BJP together should satisfy single digit seats of 6.
To recall, During 2014 Assembly elections both these parties won 14 MLA seats out of 24. TDP won 9 and BJP won 5. TDP is now left with 5 MLAs only in Jubilee Hills, Qutbullapur, Rajendranagar, Sherilingampally and Patancheru.
With a shocker in GHMC, remaining five MLA's are also making move to join TRS anytime soon. So this clearly shows there is no future for TDP in Telangana. As per reports, Jubilee Hills MLA Maganti Gopinath, Qutbullapur MLA Vivekanand and Sherilingampally MLA A Gandhi will join TRS soon.
