Airlines are making heaps of profits but still passengers who travel just get peanuts. The four biggest Airlines, American Airlines, Southwest Airlines, Delta Air Lines and United Airlines has made $22 Billion profits last year.
They have made a huge turn around after facing more losses and bankruptcies. The main reason for this is the fall down of jet fuel. This just costs one third of what it did 24 months ago. The windfall is also slowing down the aisles. And due to this profits, two of the Airlines came forward to provide free snacks.
An official said that they would offer free meals in economy class on flights between Dallas and Hawaii, and free snacks on all domestic flights. But Airfares still remain high. They were not dropped even a bit.
Rick Seaney who is the co-founder of FareCompare.com said Airfares are stable for past two years and despite the fall in jet fuels, the fares were not reduced. He also said, he has no clue whether they will even consider about dropping the fares.
