Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J.Jayalalitha today flagged of 41 'Two wheeler' ambulances. Respect to this, the official spokesperson said, "Each year many number of people lose their lives for Road accidents. Due to this, lots of families are facing mental depression.
To avoid this, the number of '108' ambulances were increased from 385 to 755. At the same time, most of the ambulances were trapped in traffic and now in order to avoid those, two wheelers have been launched.
Among these 41 two-wheeler vehicles, 31 were designed as 'Bikes' and 10 were designed as scooters. Females are also asked to drive this two wheeler. The first ten minutes for the accident victims are called as 'Platinum 10 minutes'.
During this 10 minutes the victim should be immobilized and he has to be provided Oxygen and his bleeding should be controlled. If this is done, the chances of survival will increase huge. The two wheeler bike will feature, Portable Oxygen Cylinder, Pulsoxymeter, BP apparatus, Glucometer, Digital Thermometer.
