A Police constable from Madurai armed reserve police battalion was arrested in Theni for snatching a woman's gold chain. The chain weigh's three sovereigns. The policeman was identified as Rajadurai and he is 28 years old. He is son of Mani from Uchappatti in Madurai district.
He recently went to Theni to meet his friend and after meeting his friend, he was returning back to Madurai on his two wheeler. When he reached Theni, he snatched gold chain of a middle aged woman.
The woman name was identified as Sugirtha and she is spouse of Sureshkumar of Theni. As he snatched, the woman screamed for help. And immediately passersby intercepted Rajadurai who tried to escape on his bike. They caught him and took him to Theni Police station.
Police immediately registered a case and he was thrown behind bars. Senior officials in Madurai were informed about this incident. Sources said that Rajadurai is also dismissed from Police battalion. Watch out this space for more updates.
