It is that time of year where all political parties are busy in selling tickets for the upcoming assembly elections. AIADMK already sold the forms for a price of Rs.5,000 to 11,000.
DMK sold the forms last week and now Tamil Nadu Congress Committee has invited applications from prospective candidates for the assembly elections. Forms can be submitted from 10th of February and it will be accepted till February 15th. The timings are allotted between 10am and 5pm.
The cost of application fee is just Rs.100, but the contestant must deposit a sum of Rs.5,000. Women and people from Scheduled caste community are asked to pay just Rs.2,500.
It is not certain how many seats the congress will contest as ticket seekers are hoping that the party will fight alone and the chances of allotment will go higher. In case, if the party will have and alliance with DMK or other parties, it will be tough for the persons to get tickets.
