Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) corporator from Cherlapally division, Bonthu Rammohan will be the new Mayor of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC). So far no official confirmation is made in this regard. But ruling party has decided to go with him.
Baba Faseeuddin will be the deputy Mayor. There has been huge competition for post of Mayor soon after the elections concluded. The polls went in favour of TRS. TRS already grabbed a huge majority in GHMC council. They won 99 out of 150 seats and rest of the parties just grabbed single digit seats.
MIM party is an exception as they got 44. K.Chandrasekar Rao is right now the head of TRS Youth wing. Ram Mohan is an advocate by profession. He is from Warangal district and he joined TRS by 2002.
He is right now pursuing PhD. Election for Mayor and deputy mayor posts will take place soon after the oath-taking ceremony of the newly-elected corporators. It should be noted that the post of Mayor was reserved for BC candidate.
