It is the era of Smart phones and there are lots of messaging apps. As these apps are developed, there came lots of emoticons too. Now Human Rights commission has urged Indonesian President Joko to protect gay and lesbian rights.

They asked Indonesian Government to remove messaging apps which have sexual emoticons. The New York based group said the Government should immediately condemn officials who make derogatory emoticons against lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people.

People of such sexualities are commonly known by the abbreviation LGBT. Indonesian Government also acted with immediate response. Government made their move against instant messaging apps and they asked the app developers to remove those emoticons.

An official said, "Indonesian citizens have the right to be protected in this nation. Everyone of them deserve to live a dignified life. Don't be quick to judge people, we must reflect on ourselves first because we cannot guarantee it will not happen to your children and grandchildren in the future."
