Tamil Nadu faced deluge and there was huge devastation. ADMK Party showed lethargic attitude in providing relief measures. They never even showed interest in saving people. Most of the farmers suffered from crop losses and they demanded relief funds.
Thoothukudi district Kaadalkudi farmers lost all their crops to floods and recently they were shocked as they just got Rs.37 as relief fund from Government. Farmers who got agitated, sent the same amount back to Chief Minister relief fund.
One of the farmer said, "Due to the deluge we lost most of the crops. We need to restart the agriculture and we need money. We entirely relied on the relief funds. Government officials came and inspected the area and they promised to provide relief funds at the earliest.
But after nearly two months they have provided it. And they have insulted with amount of Rs.37. Most of them were provided with money less than 500. So we decided to give the money back to Government."
