Noida based company Ringing Bells Pvt Ltd has revealed 'World's Cheapest Smartphone'. The phone was sold for a price of just Rs.251. Now the bookings were closed and Mohit Kumar Goel who is the founder of the company said, "By 11am today morning, there has been 7.35 Crore bookings.


We have to shut down online bookings as we are prepared to deliver only this much handsets. So far only 30,000 people have paid the amount including shipping charges. Rest of the buyers have promised to pay once the phone is delivered.


The delivery will start from month of April and we are aiming to deliver all the phones by end of 2016." According to Ringing Bells, it received 3.7 Crores on 18th February and 2.8 Crores on 19th February.


And today morning it received 85 Lakh bookings. Then the website was suspended. Most of the users gathered outside the company's office as they were unable to place order online. The website was completely shutdown and it faced constant criticism from various quarters.
