Central government presents Union budget today. For the financial year 2016-17; Arun Jitley announced the development and welfare schemes where money is spent; tax exemptions and payments; major source of income to the country.  

The main criteria taken into consideration while planning the budget

 1. Irrigation 2. Rural development 3. Health and social welfare 4. Educational skills and employment 5. Infrastructure and investments 6. Economic reformations 7. Sources for business development 8. Financial discipline . 9. Corrections in taxation such that everyone come forward to pay the taxes

-  Tax free infra bonds

-  100 % permit to FDI in food industry

- 3,000 crores for nuclear energy plants

-budget support to EPF for new employees

- for the first 3 years of service an EPF of 8.33 % os paid by the government.

- 3,000 generic medical shops all over the country

- 3,000 crores for additional power generation

- 2,000 crores for atomic power generation

- Diabetics centre in district hospitals

- 2.21246 crores for infrastructure

- For Social security aadhar card

- Skill development for one crore students in coming 3 years

-19,000 crores for ‘Pradhan mantra sadak yojana’.  

- 20,000 crores for NABARD for irrigation

-  Food safety 35,984 crores. 

- Soil tests 268 crores

- For electricity in villages 8500 crores

 - 2.87 lakh crores for rural development

- 5 lakh acres organic cultivation within 5 years.

- 27,000 crores for road connectivity. 9,000 crores for swatch Bharath  

 - boycotting urination in public places.

 - Special wing to encourage industrial SC and STs

- Agricultural insurance for 5500 crores. 

- Additional 4,000 crores compared to last year for employment policy  

- Additional 30,000 insurance for old age people

- 500 crores for startup India.

 - 35985 for agricultural field

- 412 crores for Spring irrigation  

-60,000 crores for underground water development  

- 38,500 crores for employment scheme.

 - 100% electricity for villages 2018 May

- 6,000 villages to get digital education

- Improvement of Scheduled castes and tribes on event of 125th birthday of Ambedkar  

 - Digitalization to control fake certificates

- 1 lakh insurance for a family

- Improvement in skill, living standards, security and education of each citizen

- 15,000 crores for interests exemption of farmers

- 2,000 crores for gas connection to rural areas

- 62 new Navodaya schools

-‘ Pradhan mantra Kousal Yojana’ for employment in 1700 crores  

- 2.87 lakh grants for Panchayat raj development

 -  850 crores for animal husbandry

 - 300 rurban cluster formation

 - 1000 crores corpus fund for higher education
