Five tourists were badly injured and two of them were in critical condition as they fall off a cliff when they were clicking selfies at Anjuna Village in Goa. Goa Police immediately recorded the statement of two of the women who were injured in this mishap.
The five people fell off the cliff as the gate which they were leaning got opened. The incident shocked the residents of nearby cottages. Regarding this Police inspector Paresh Naik said, "Two women fell on their back on a stone and they are currently taken to a private hospital.
Doctors who treated them said they will be paralysed for life. Family members of both the women have refused to file any formal complaint. But they recorded their statement before magistrate.
We can't reveal the identities of the women based on the parent's request. But we say that they are in their late 20's. This selfie craze has gone way beyond in India. We request the people to take care of safety measures before taking such risky selfies."
