Mother Teresa who was a nun dedicated her whole life to poor and now she will be made as a Saint of Roman Catholic Church at a ceremony on 4th of September. Pope Francis cleared the way for Sainthood for Mother Teresa who passed away in 1997. She was 87 Years old and was also known as 'Saint of the gutters'.

The announcement was expected by December itself. This actual date falls on eve of the 19th anniversary of her death. The process to make someone saint can start only after five years after their death. After the five years are completed, the bishop will see whether the individual has lived with sufficient holiness and virtue and then the individual can be called a "servant of God".

The third step is to prove that the person has lived a life of 'Heroic virtue'. The fourth step is Verified miracles.  To reach this stage, a miracle has to be done which are attributed to prayers. The prayers are seen as proof that the individual is in heaven.

The final step is Canonisation. And in this step the Bishop declares the deceased person as a saint. To reach this final stage, a second miracle needs to be attributed to prayers after they have been beatified.
