Telangana CM KCR is popular to have his way in any matter. Despite opposition from all quarters he is not known to bend or mend his ways. This was proven on many occasions.
Now Telangana CM KCR made students of Osmania University expressing his anger on Kiss Festivals. Speaking in the assembly he said while Government supports students of the universities in Rohit Vemula's suicide issue, he took exception on university of Hyderabad celebrating kiss festivals.
He said “I was shocked to know that events like kiss festivals are being held in universities now. Is that correct? Does anybody accept that? Rohith and the JNU incidents are unfortunate. I strongly condemn them. But I don’t want to make an issue out of it by raking up this ‘ism’ and that ‘ism’,”
While many are hailing KCR's strong views on Kiss festivals, students are opposing him. Students say they have freedom to organise such festivals. KCR went on to add that universities should be centres for excellence and education.
