The Member of Parliament Rajeev Chandrasekhar has urged the PM Narendra Modi to make arrangements for the privacy of the legislation or go though the existing IT Act, Sec 43 A and the other sections in the country. He has thanked the government for understanding the privacy that the UP government has taken all these years.


Rajeev has welcomed the safeguarding information in the NDA’s new Aadhaar Bill has suggested there is a need for the overarching privacy legislation and many date bases like Jan Dhan Yojana, BPL, LPG which are out of the purview of the bill has to be covered and given protection and privacy of informations.


He has urged the PM to pursue the need for protecting the privacy starting with the Aadhaar card effort during the UP Government. He said he has raised several issues for the privacy several times with the UP Government, because of lack of response the matter has come to an end before the constitutional bench of the Supreme Court.


Rajeev has spoken about the issue in the parliament after the NDA Government was started. He said the Finance Minister has promised to maintain privacy legislation after discussing with the Supreme Court. He has urged the government to explore the possibility of new privacy legislation or make a review with the existing IT Act Sec 43 A and other available sections at the earliest.
