The heat wave conditions which are sweeping Andhra Pradesh and Telangana in the month of March itself is being seen as unprecedented. So far they have claimed the lives of more than 10 persons over last three days. The situation is looking to worsen in the coming days.

The deaths are being reported in Nizamabad, Anantapur, Mahabubnagar, Kurnool and Kadapa districts. Anantapur district has reported the highest number of sunstroke-related fatalities already. Lack of greenery and no proper planning is leading to these situations.

Most regions in Telugu states have been already reporting temperatures of over 40 degrees Celsius in this month. These heat wave conditions have occurred due to prolonged dry spell and less rainfall in the last season.

In AP East and West Godavari, Prakasam, Krishna, Guntur, Nellore, Anantapur, Chittoor, Kadapa and Kurnool will be most affected while Hyderabad, Nizambad, Karimnagar, Warangal, Khammam, Medak, Rangareddy, Mahbubnagar, Adilabad and Nalgonda  are being impacted in Telangana. In fact experts predict that this summer the maximum temperature may even cross 47 across most places!
