Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act, 2014 bifurcated  state of Andhra Pradesh into Telangana and the residuary Andhra Pradesh.  And since then both the states are in competition with each other. Right now Hyderabad is the common capital for both the states.

Chandrababu Naidu is right now building Amaravati city and that may take some more years. Now Andhra Pradesh has dominated Telangana in revenue earnings. AP has easily overtaken TS in current financial year.

Even though losing Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh has managed to earn more money through taxes than Telangana. Andhra Pradesh has earned Rs.1596.31 Crores than Telangana. Except Transport department, Andhra Pradesh has generated revenue from all departments.

Telangana is completely on the back foot in all departments. However officials say that Andhra Pradesh generates more revenue as it has more business centres like Vizag, Vijayawada, Guntur, Kakinada and Tirupati. But Telangana has only Hyderabad.

Few other officials said, Centre has provided 725 Crores as VAT compensation to Andhra Pradesh and Telangana just got Rs.425 Crores. Andhra also ranked second in sales tax collection. Andhra Pradesh has earned Rs.28,328 Crores through sales tax.
