An Egypt Air Passenger en route from Alexandria to Cairo has been hijacked and right now it has been landed at Cyprus. 82 Passengers are on board and negotiations are on. As per reports, hijackers allowed Women and kids to disembark the airplane.
Reports further state that the Pilot in the hijacked plane was threatened by a Passenger with an explosive vest. An official statement from Egypt Air Twitter account reads as, "The EgyptAir plane was an Airbus 320 Flight 181, carrying 81 passengers and flying from Borg to Cairo airport"
Right now the plane is landed at Larnaca airport in Cyprus. Officials suspect that the plane has a bomb on board. The hijackers in the plane contacted the control tower at 8:30 am (0530 GMT) and plane was given permission to land by 8:50am. Officials said that hijackers demanded all cop vehicles to move away from the plane.Our flight MS181 is officially hijacked. we'll publish an official statement now. #Egyptair
